Tommy Lee Reed Circular Vaned Engine

Updated 18 Jun 2013

I get too much spam that is why comments are disabled.

This engine prototype/Idea  is part of  a sub family of the Circular engines or complete torque engines  , which is the Vanes engines.

Here  two vanes/blades  take place of the Piston and  the engine head ,making   a Concentric Rotor , block  Mounted Vane and/or Rotor mounted vane  Circular engine.

These engine are thought to be  only 60% thermally efficient since you have a static pressure port.  but still they are powerful.

They have a very long STROKE, full and complete torque arm, high volumetric efficiency

Lots of patents and lots of vane engines and pumps exist.   Vanes have tons and tons of problems ask the US Air force.

You can go a waste you money building one i have no problem with that.

Tommy removed his page

Here are pics of his new prototype

It is hard to explain what is ment by a Vane engine without pictures .

  1. Hey, nice site with good information!
But do you think that’s why he withdrew his videos?
Maybe his new engine was too good to become known yet so someone made him stop the publishing?
Okey that’s pure speculation but I think it is suspect, especially now when things are going so great with his projects, although he was a bit low on money at the time…

  2. Yes…
I hope he could come to his senses on this issue, and if he or his family is threatened I hope he doesn’t remove does videos completely. Because, the situation we have had up till now will not continue for much longer. More people are aware…..

  5. Hello to all,

I have been working on these engine and even other projects too. The rotary engine cost me a lot of money with machine shops that screw me over, so I started to buy my own machines to save money and have the work done right..

    Have a great New Year..
